Team Angelica – Raising money for UCSF Children’s Hospital

I’m asking for you to give a little to UCSF Children’s Hospital for my daughter Angelica. Angelica was born with a congenital heart disorder and required open-heart surgery just five days after she was born. Thankfully, she was in the very capable hands of the doctors, nurses and staff at UCSF who took amazing care of her.

It was a difficult experience feeling completely helpless and knowing there was little we could do to help our girl. Raising money for the hospital is a small something we can do; a way to say Thank You and to make sure other children receive the care they need.

Angelica is now doing great and is expected for a complete recovery and a full life with no limitations. At 4-months old, she is a happy smiling baby who brings us such joy each day.

I am running in the San Francisco Marathon on July 31. I set the goal to complete my first marathon before I turn 40, which happens this year in August. Now I am also running the marathon for my daughter, which gives me the extra motivation I need to get out and train after waking up for 4am feedings.

So please sponsor me on my run, whatever contribution you can donate will be greatly appreciated by UCSF Children’s Hospital and all the babies they help each and every day. Thank you.
