A set of photos from Thanksgiving, Christmas, and winter time.
Photos from the start of school, soccer, and Halloween festivities, it must be fall.
We were thrilled to be a part of Angie and Jason’s Wedding in San Francisco. Danelle was a bridesmaid, and Angelica and Marisa were both flower girls. It was a wonderful day, beautiful ceremony, and happy to be part of such an great event.
Angelica required an additional surgery to fix up her heart. Thankfully we had the luxury to schedule it out which gave us plenty of time to prep ourselves as well as her. As any of us would be, she was a little nervous. Thankfully, we had a lot of great resources, her pre-school teacher made a book for her and the hospital’s child-life services sent us a doctor’s kit both of which helped out a ton.
Angelica was very brave and handled it all gracefully, the hospital staff was wonderful! She wasn’t bothered by the blood pressure or even the IV, it all went smoothly. The surgery went great and the doctor’s are pleased how everything looks, which is a great relief.
Angelica is recovering well and spirits are up so things look good. The new hospital is wonderful, you can see some photos of the new UCSF Children’s Hospital which I took while we waited for her to get out of surgery.
Here are a few photos from the day, which started off early, we left our house before 6am and got to the hospital even before the sunrise.
The hospital was great and understand children (and parents) well. We were able to go into the operating room and be with her until she was asleep. We had to dress up in bunny suits to go into the OR.
We were happy to have a few family visitors over the winter, Nina Ashley came up for one weekend and Aunt Sandy and Sean Luke came up for another. Angelica was in heaven having her cousin visit. Here are a few photos from the two visits and from the girls enjoying some of the warm winter.
The girls went to their first baseball game with Papa Fred and Nana Kay to see the San Jose Giants. We figured starting with minor league ball would be best in case we only made it a few innings. Surprisingly we made it all 9 innings, but did not stick around for extra innings which the game did go into, I think it ended in the 13th.
Everyone had a great time and check out the last photo to see who got Fan of the Game!
Two sisters enjoying the morning together.
Marisa trying avocados for the first time, not sure if she likes them or not.
